Under the authority of state statutes,
the Borough levies the following taxes.
- Real Estate Property Tax - based on
assessment values established by the County Assessor at
rates enacted annually by Town Council.
- Earned Income and Net Profits Tax -
One half of one percent of earned income and net profits
from each resident. If the tax is not withheld by the employer,
it must be paid quarterly to the Chambersburg Wage Tax Office
at 443 Stanley Avenue, Chambersburg (717) 263-5141.
- Local Services Tax (LST) - $52.00 per
year for all persons working in the Borough which is collected
by the Chambersburg Area Wage Tax Board.
